We just got back from spending the first two days with the UTPA BSM Team that is participating in the Valley Summer Project. I must tell that we are deeply excited to see everyone so full of love and dedication to serve God. We have no doubt that God is going to use their lives in a great way.
We kicked off the project by welcoming everyone to the Valley Baptist Retreat where they will be staying. We then started with a packed orientation to learn how the program works, team dynamics, finances, and specially, to get trained on how to do Children’s Ministry. We invited the field representative of Child Evangelism Fellowship to come and share with us. Sharon then shared with all of us about the overall VBS and tips on how to successfully minister to kids.
We then began prep work for our very first VBS at Primera Bautista Hidalgo. We went to their first day last night and I must tell you, God is working. We had more kids than anticipated and great smiles throughout the evening. We finished our time with the team at Chick Fil A, celebrating what God is doing and exchanging tips to improve on what we learn the first day. Praise God. Please keep the team in your prayers.
